The story follows Virgil, a half-devil, half-angel who is the last surviving member of his clan. His father, driven by greed and lust for power, killed everyone else in their clan and then turned on Virgil, sending him to the underworld where he was raised in captivity. As Virgil grows up, he discovers that he has powerful supernatural abilities, including summoning and controlling demons. Virgil decides to seek revenge against his father and the clan who betrayed his family. Along the way, he meets a variety of characters, including his brother, powerful mages, and even some gods.
